Who we are

QueueLess (“we”, “us”) operates the QueueLess mobile apps and the queuelessapp.com website, which let you order food and drinks from vendors at events without queuing. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at admin@queuelessapp.com.

Who can use QueueLess

QueueLess is intended for adults. The app is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. We ask for your date of birth at sign-up so that age-restricted items, such as alcohol, are only shown and sold where permitted.

What we collect and why

Account information

Name, email address, phone number, date of birth, password (stored hashed)

To create and secure your account, verify you are old enough to use the service, and contact you about your orders.

Location

Approximate and precise device location

To show events and vendors near you and to place you at the correct event. Collected only while you are using the app, and only if you grant the permission. You can decline and browse events manually.

Order and transaction data

Items ordered, amounts, timestamps, vendor and event, wallet top-ups and balance

To process and fulfil your orders, show your order history, handle refunds, and meet our accounting obligations.

Payment information

Card and payment details, entered directly into our payment providers' secure forms

To take payment. Full card numbers are never sent to or stored on QueueLess servers — they are handled by Stripe, Braintree/PayPal and Klarna. We store only a token and the last four digits so you can reuse a saved method.

Photos

Photos you choose to upload

To attach evidence to a refund request or feedback, and to set a profile picture. We access your camera and photo library only when you actively choose to add a photo.

Device identifiers

Push notification token, device model and OS version

To deliver order status notifications and to diagnose problems. Push notifications are sent via Firebase Cloud Messaging.

App activity

Screens viewed, searches, cart contents and interactions inside the app

To operate the app's features and to fix problems.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with advertising networks.

Legal bases for processing

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to create your account and fulfil your orders); legal obligation (to keep transaction records and to apply age restrictions); consent (for location access, camera and photo access, and push notifications, each of which you can withdraw in your device settings); and legitimate interests (to keep the service secure and to prevent fraud).

Who we share data with

We share data only with the service providers we need in order to run QueueLess, and with the vendors you order from:

  • Stripe, Braintree / PayPal, Klarna — Process card, wallet and pay-later payments on our behalf.
  • Google Firebase (Cloud Messaging) — Delivers push notifications to your device.
  • Google Maps — Renders maps and location search inside the app.
  • Vendors and event organisers — Receive the details of an order you place with them — your first name, the items ordered and any notes — so they can prepare and hand over your order.

We may also disclose data where we are required to by law, or to establish or defend legal claims.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and the data tied to it immediately.

We keep order, payment and refund records for 7 years from the date of the transaction, because we are legally required to retain them for accounting and tax purposes. These records are no longer linked to a QueueLess profile once your account is deleted.

How we protect your data

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Sign-in tokens are held in the secure keystore on your device (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android). Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Card details are handled by our PCI-compliant payment providers and never stored on our servers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email admin@queuelessapp.com. We respond within 30 days.

You can delete your account yourself at any time from Profile → Delete Account in the app. Full instructions, and details of exactly what is deleted and what is retained, are on our account deletion page.

If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Permissions you can turn off

Location, camera, photo library and notification access are all optional and can be revoked at any time in your device settings. The app continues to work without them, though you will need to pick your event manually and will not receive order status alerts.

International transfers

QueueLess operates internationally, and our providers may process data outside your country of residence. Where data is transferred out of the UK or EEA, we rely on the safeguards offered by those providers, including Standard Contractual Clauses.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell you in the app or by email.
